FLU CLINIC 2008 - The time of year when we invite patients to attend for their flu jabs will soon be upon us. Annually, during October we run a programme to vaccinate patients against influenza. All patients over 65 or in the 'at risk' categories are eligible for immunisation. Who are in the At Risk Groups? Patients who:
Dates for flu clinics are as follows: ** Saturday 11th and 18th October 2008 from 9am – 5pm **
If you are over 65, you will also be eligible for a Pneumovax Immunisation (if you have not had this previously). Please mention this to the receptionists when you telephone us to make your appointment.
If you are travelling abroad it is sensible to make provision well in advance of your expected date of travel, if possible a minimum of four weeks. The Surgery can give full guidance on health matters relating to travel abroad and long haul flights. Our practice nurses have up-to-date information and would be delighted to discuss your individual requirements. The Surgery keeps a stock of travel forms that we ask you to complete for the nurse before your appointment. By assessing your itinerary and using the latest medical global information she can plan the best advice on your personal travel requirement.
