Who are in the At Risk Groups?

Patients who:

  • Are 65 years of age or older by 31st March 2010

  • Are in residential care

  • Are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person

  • Have respiratory diseases such as COPD, bronchitis, asthma etc.

  • Have heart disease

  • Have kidney disease

  • Have liver disease

  • Have diabetes

  • Have a history of stroke

  • Have multiple sclerosis or a disease of the central nervous system

  • Have a weak immune system

Travelling Abroad Advice

 

If you are travelling abroad it is sensible to make provision well in advance of your expected date of travel, if possible a minimum of

6 weeks.   The Surgery can give full guidance on health matters relating to travel abroad and long haul flights.

 

Our practice nurses have up-to-date information and would be delighted to discuss your individual requirements.

The Surgery keeps a stock of travel forms that we ask you to complete for the nurse before your appointment. By assessing your itinerary and using the latest medical global information she can plan the best advice on your personal travel requirement.
