IMPROVED ACCESS APPOINTMENTS
We are pleased to announce that from the 1st September 2018 we will be offering Improved Access Appointments.
These appointments will be offered on weekdays between 7.30 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.
These appointments are able to be pre-booked and we hope that these appointments will be beneficial to those patients that have difficulty attending during our normal surgery hours.
GP PATIENT SURVEY
Some patients registered at Elmham Surgery will soon be invited to take part in a national survey about their experiences of local NHS services.
It covers issues that concern patients, such as access to care and satisfaction with treatment. If you receive a questionnaire, please help NHS England by filling it in as soon as possible.

DISPENSARY NOTICE FOR PATIENTS
Due to increasing demand, we have extended our turn around from 48 hours to 72 hours for repeat medications.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.
CLAIMING FREE PRESCRIPTIONS
The way in which fraudulent claims for free prescriptions are checked has recently changed. A new centralised unit has now launched to be more pro-active in fraudulent claims of free prescriptions.
If you are sure that the NHS covers the cost of your prescriptions, please show proof of your entitlement to the dispensary staff before signing the patient declaration every time you collect your medication.
If you claim free NHS prescriptions that you are not entitled to, you could face a penalty charge of up to £100, as well as the original prescription charge(s). An additional charge of up to £50 may apply if you do not pay within the required timescale.
If you are not sure whether you qualify, please pay for your prescriptions and ask for an NHS receipt, you may be able to claim a refund later.
YOUR CERTIFICATE IS YOUR PROOF - It must be in date when your prescription is dispensed and you should always show your certificate. Please always have it with you when you visit us in the future. Thank you.
We have been advised that Pharmacy2U has undertaken a mail drop detailing the service they provide; this mail drop also lists the local GP Practices who offer the NHS Electronic Prescription Service.
We want to ensure our patients are aware that we have not passed on any patient information to any third party and that we treat patient confidentiality very seriously.
We would like to make patients aware that we have no links with Pharmacy2U. If you are concerned or unsure about this, please speak with a member of our dispensary team.
