Registration of Births
You may have read on the Government website that parents are now permitted to register the birth of their child.Norfolk will set a date to restart birth registrations once the necessary adjustments have been made to offices to make sure they meet social distancing rules to keep their customers and staff safe.
In the meantime parents can notify them of the birth by visiting the Norfolk County Council website and completing the notification of a birth form (https://forms.norfolk.gov.uk/service/Notification_of_birth)
Please note that submission of this form does not mean that the birth has been registered. Their team will contact you to arrange an appointment to register the birth when they are ready to welcome customers back into the office.
Birth registrations that couldn’t go ahead due to lockdown restrictions will be undertaken in date order, starting with those born earliest.
